Radisson Blu Hotel Dublin Airport, Dublin

Dublin, Ireland’s capital and largest city, is located at the mouth of the River Liffey in the province of Leinster. As of 2022, its metropolitan area has about 1.26 million residents.

Founded by the Gaels before the 7th century and later expanded by Viking settlers, Dublin grew into Ireland’s main settlement, especially after the 12th-century Anglo-Norman invasion. It flourished in the British Empire during the 19th century and became the capital after Ireland’s independence in 1922.

Dublin is a UNESCO City of Literature, home to writers like James Joyce and W.B. Yeats. Its cultural scene thrives in Temple Bar, while landmarks such as Trinity College and Grafton Street highlight its rich history. The city is split by the River Liffey, with Georgian-era architecture in the north and vibrant attractions in the south.
