    Biography

    Martin Widschwendter is Professor in Women's Cancer, Head of the Department of Women’s Cancer at University College London (UCL) and a Consultant Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon at University College London Hospital (UCLH). He was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRCOG ad eundem) in 2016. In 2001, having completed his training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in Austria, Martin worked at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Los Angeles (USA) and spent three years as the lead clinician and surgeon of a large breast cancer centre before embarking on a career at UCL/UCLH from 2005 where he undertook sub-speciality training in gynaecological oncology. Martin’s particular interest is in complex radical laparoscopic and open surgery. As part of the Institute for Women's Health at UCL, he established a large research group focusing on the role of early detection, risk prediction and prevention of breast and gynaecological cancers. Martin is an author on more than 160 papers, contributed to numerous text books, secured substantial grant income in the last ten years and is an Editor for the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer. He was also the lead of the ESGO European Network of Translational Research In Gynaecological Oncology (ENTRIGO) and has lectured widely on his research and clinical experience in the UK and abroad. Martin is lead and coordinator on the H2020 FORECEE programme (www.forecee.eu) and is an ERC Advanced Grant holder.

    New Procedures Developed by Dr. Ostrzenski: Labia Minora Labioplasty: Thin labia volume reduction (height, length, and thickness) with color and counter preservation and restoration of lower part to create the point union of thin labia. Also, thin labia anatomic deformity reconstruction is offered. Clitoral Prepucioplasty: The foreskin covering the clitoris reconstruction. Clitoral Hoodoplasty: To reduce the overlapping skin of the clitoral “head”. Clitoral Frenuloplasty: To reconstruct 2 rope-like structures attaching to the lower part of the clitoral “head”. Labia Majora Labioplasty: Thick and hairy labia reconstruction of the fat tissue sac site specific defects and trimming excessive skin without fat. Labia Majora Labiopexy: Thick and hairy labia reconstruction at the base on which the labia majora are rested. The Anterior Commussure Trasposition: Trasnsposition of the upper hairy, thick labia to eliminate front gap between both sides of the labia. The Posterior Commissure Transposition: Transposition of the lower hairy, thick labia to eliminate front gap between both sides of the labia. Modified Posterior Perineoplasty: Reconstruction of the area between the lower part of the vaginal opening to the upper part of the anal opening. This procedure is performed for both aesthetic and improving perineal functions.

    Biography

    Dr Menelaos Tzafetas graduated from the Medical School of University of Thessaly in Greece. He then completed his military service as a General Practitioner in the Greek Armed Forces. Following that he moved to the United Kingdom where he commenced his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. During his training at Queen Charlottes and Chelsea Hospital he was awarded the "Make a Difference Award" for his contribution to team effort and his exceptional support towards his colleagues and patients. Whilst undergoing his specialist training he developed an interest in research and was awarded a research fellowship by the Imperial College Healthcare Charity. He is currently working as a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London. His current research project is investigating the use of new innovative spectroscopy technologies like the iKnife and DESI and their potential to improve the management of women with abnormalities in cervical screening.

She is the co-editor of International Journal of Nursing Panorama, The Genesis, Contemporary journal of Microbiology etc. Published 3 books in the field of Midwifery and Word management. Contributed chapters for Midwifery Books. She is a National Trainer for Infant and Young Child Feeding Counselling Specialist course. Did many research project under DHR and ICMR, DST etc. main interest is in research, education, and administration. Conducted many programmes for antenatal, postnatal mothers at the community level and hospital level. She got the opportunity to deliver a talk at the International and National Conferences. She is guiding the Students of UG, PG, and Ph.D. for Research. She is a recognized guide in different university and examiner for PG and Ph.D. Students too. She has gone for conducting Inspections to various colleges by the Indian Nursing Council.

    Dr Pegah Varamini is an early career researcher, lecturer and group leader in Cancer Theme within the Faculty of Pharmacy. She is the leader of Breast Cancer Targeting-Drug Delivery Group. Dr Varamini was awarded the prestigious National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) fellowship and grant in Jan 2016. She completed her Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Iran, in May 2005. In 2009 she was granted the competitive Australian international scholarships, UQRS/IPRS, to pursue full-time PhD studies at The University of Queensland. She was awarded her PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology in December 2012. She won awards and prizes during her PhD studies, e.g. 2012 Dean’s Award for Research Higher Degree Excellence highlighting her successful approach in performing a high-quality research. Dr Varamini lead a hormone-based peptide/vaccine delivery ARC-funded research project at The University of Queensland until December 2015 as a postdoctoral research fellow prior to being granted the NBCF fellowship and joining the University of Sydney in January 2016. She has published 24 peer-reviewed articles across 11 different fields (SciVal, 3/11/2016) that confirm her multidisciplinary research. Dr Varamini’s work was selected by the Australian Academy of Science in August 2016, resulting in her personal presentation at the inaugural Falling Walls Lab in Canberra (a gathering of 25 selected Australian and New Zealand researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers and innovators). Furthermore, NBCF has found her research both innovative and promising and the result was that she was the featured researcher in 2016 in multiple events and programs. Also her work is being published in NBCF 2016 annual report.

  • Physical tissue expansion for nanoscale investigation of clinical specimens in diagnostic pathology and research

    Octavian Bucur is working as an Instructor in the Departments of Pathology and Medicine at the Harvard Medical School, BIDMC, in Boston, MA, focusing on the development and application of new experimental and computational technologies with significant impact in molecular, diagnostic pathology and personalized medicine. He is also a member of the Ludwig Cancer Center at Harvard and Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In collaboration with Dr. Edward Boyden’s laboratory at MIT, he has developed a pathology-optimized physical tissue expansion method called Expansion Pathology that enables ~100 times expansion in volume of any type of clinical specimen and visualization of 70-80 nm structures with conventional optical microscopes (currently limited to ~250 nm resolution). Expansion Pathology has the potential of replacing electron microscopy in diagnosis and investigation of certain pathologies and nanometer structures

Highlights from last year's Convention

Authorization Policy

Cancellation Policy

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied Academies Ltd postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to gynecology@alliedconferences.org. Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied Academies if the person is unable to attend one of the conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of the respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

·         Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $150 service Fee

·         Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 40% of payment Refund

·         Within 45 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund

Accommodation Cancellation Policy

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies Ltd will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
