Polycystic ovarian syndrome and Infertility


Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) occurs due to hormonal imbalance in the ovaries. It represents 80% of ovulatory infertility cases. During this condition the ovaries develop tiny fluid-filled sacs called cysts. A woman with this condition will have irregular periods which will affect the fertility rate that can be treated with proper medication to balance hormones and control menstrual periods will enhance woman’s fertility.

  • Weight gain
  • Increased level of androgen production
