Pediatric and adolescent gynecology
The British Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology promote the profile and study of, and clinical approaches to, pediatric and adolescent gynecology and provide a multidisciplinary forum for discussion, education and training. There are some specialist services that are provided by central government, one of which addresses one part of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Girls typically start menstruating between the ages of 11 to 14 and it is completely normal to have somewhat abnormal periods during the first two years of menstruation. Pain and bleeding are the most common reasons for adolescents.
